When Dan built Sweet Cheeks Winery, his intention was clear : build a place that everyone could come and feel like family. Working with Marcus Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation fits perfectly with Dan’s vision and intention. The Motiv8 Foundation has the mission to promote and support economic and educational programs for youth in our local community. Together we have raised over $100,000 to strengthen our community.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“The 2023 Motiv8 Foundation Pinot Gris is fully estate-grown here in the South Willamette Valley. When you visit our winery, located on the outskirts of Eugene - you will drive past the vines that produce this wine. All of our vines are dry farmed and we hand harvest each cluster of grapes. This Pinot Gris is fermented in stainless steel at low temperatures to preserve the aromatics and promote a lively acidity. You will get notes of citrus and layers of pear and apple. Enjoy with all of your tailgating snacks: creamy onion dip with potato chips, soft pretzels with a light cheese dip, and even the classic hot dog.”
A Note From Marcus Mariota
“The label this year is a true gift. It is hard for me to think that it’s been 10 years since our great run at Oregon. The beautiful design reminds me of all the amazing people that make Eugene special."
Special Note: Proceeds from our previous Motiv8 Foundation wine sales have helped fund new cleats for young athletes in Lahaina after the devastating wildfire of 2023, school supplies for children in the Eugene and Springfield school districts, and sponsorships for children to attend the Oregon vs. Hawaii game in 2023. Thank you, on behalf of the Motiv8 Foundation and Sweet Cheeks Winery, for your support of our local communities.
