Awarded 91 points + 'Critic's Choice' by Sean P. Sullivan of Northwest Wine Report and 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, we celebrate a unique expression of Willamette Valley Pinot Gris. We exclusively hand-harvest from our Oak Hill block of Pinot Gris. This block drinks in the last remaining golden rays of our Oregon sunshine to elevate the notes of stone fruit. Winemaker, Leo Gabica then allows the fruit to sit on the skin for 12 hours to extract a golden hue. To finish the wine, we age it lightly in French oak for 6 months.
"Fresh, tart tropical fruit flavors...it brings pleasing liveliness. 91 Points + 'Critic's Choice." - Sean P. Sullivan, Northwest Wine Report
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
"Our estate vineyard in the spring of 2022 experienced three inches of snowfall around bud break. This lowered our yields, but fortunately our late spring, summer and fall were ideal growing conditions. Our Oak Hill block, though lower in yield, had stunning fruit quality. We hand-harvested this block and allowed the fruit to sit on the skin for 12 hours. In the morning light, we gently pressed the fruit and fermented at a low temperature to perfectly capture the aromatics. I really enjoyed the stone fruit characteristics from this vintage, and decided to lightly oak 25% of the wine. After six months in French oak, I blended it back with our stainless steel wine. I enjoy the slight softness from this light touch of neutral French oak. You still taste the vibrancy, but there is a unique elegance."
