When Dan built Sweet Cheeks Winery, his intention was clear : build a place that everyone could come and feel like family. Working with Marcus Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation fits perfectly with Dan’s vision and intention. The Motiv8 Foundation has the mission to promote and support economic and educational programs for youth in our local community. Together we have raised over $100,000 to strengthen our community.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“The 2022 Motiv8 Foundation Pinot Noir is a blend of four blocks from our estate vineyard. We have our Wild Child, Kody Block, Boss' Block, and our oldest block. All have distinct characteristics that come together as the perfect team for the 2022 Motiv8 Foundation Pinot Noir. Enjoy the flavors you look for with a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with cherry, red berries and hints of cedar. We aged this wine in French oak barrels for 17 months : 65% new oak, 14% second-use and 21% third-use. It is perfect by itself, or if you are looking to pair it with your tailgating foods, I suggest cheeseburgers, ground beef nachos, or salmon dip. ”
A Note From Marcus Mariota
“The label this year is a true gift. It is hard for me to think that it’s been 10 years since our great run at Oregon. The beautiful design reminds me of all the amazing people that make Eugene special."
Special Note: Proceeds from our previous Motiv8 Foundation wine sales have helped fund new cleats for young athletes in Lahaina after the devastating wildfire of 2023, school supplies for children in the Eugene and Springfield school districts, and sponsorships for children to attend the Oregon vs. Hawaii game in 2023. Thank you, on behalf of the Motiv8 Foundation and Sweet Cheeks Winery, for your support of our local communities.
