91 Points + Critic's Choice : "The aromas show notes of strawberry, cherry, blood orange, and dried herb. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, and clenched out of the gate. There's plenty of juicy acidity. It's fresh, vibrant, and provides terrific value." - Sean P. Sullivan, Northwest Wine Report
90 Points, Wine Enthusiast : "Aged in French oak, 11% new, the rest second and third use and neutral, this is a graceful and balanced wine. Raspberries and flowering nicotiana aromas are punctuated by a shot of graphite. The flavors range from cherry and toasted hazelnuts to jasmine tea with a twist of lemon." - Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
"Our 2021 'Vintage' Pinot Noir is 100% Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The majority of the fruit was hand harvested from our dry farmed vineyard, which is primarily Dijon clones of Pinot Noir with two blocks of Swiss clones. The remaining fruit for this wine was from our friends, Davis Vineyards. This fruit was also hand harvested and is all Pommard clone. The harmony of the three Pinot Noir clones allow for deep complexity and layers of flavors. I ensure all of our Pinot Noir wines are aged for a minimum of 18 months in French oak. I like for our Pinot Noir to be more medium in body and provide a deeper flavor profile - but still maintain the delicate flavors that a Pinot Noir and French oak have. We don't expect this 2021 Vintage Pinot Noir to be around for long, I know I have my personal stock-pile going because this will be a wine to enjoy for years to come."
