We know that our Founder, Dan, would be so pleased the block we named after him was blended with the block of Pinot Noir we named after his beloved dog, Kody. When guests would visit our patio, for years they would see Dan and Kody in the afternoon hours. Dan would swap stories with guests while Kody made his rounds to welcome all of our guests. His favorite activity was to find tiny bits of cork and place them on tables for guests to play fetch. 

A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica

“Our 2021 Pinot Noir Rosé was hand harvested from our dry-farmed estate vineyard. We really like to pair our Boss Man Block of Pinot Noir with our Kody Block Pinot Noir. Our Boss Man Block is named for our Founder, Dan. This is the block that our guests can overlook as they enjoy a tasting on our patio. Our Kody Block Pinot is our “youngest” block, planted in 2000. This side of our vineyard is the most susceptible to temperature exposures in the spring, so I really like to use these blocks for our Pinot Noir Rose. The flavor profiles and acidity achieve the highest qualities.
