Our 2021 Oak Hill Pinot Gris is named for the block in which it's harvested from. Planted in 1994, this block is on a hillside that receives extended sunshine, promoting a rich flavor profile. We highlight this flavor by aging 50% of the wines in French oak barrels for 9 months.

A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica

“We hand harvest this Pinot Gris from one of my favorite blocks in the vineyard. You can see the tasting room and winery in the distance, with beautiful oak trees on the other side of the fence-line. During harvest, this fruit is left on the skin for 12 hours. Why? Pinot Gris is a rich mauve color on the vine, and I enjoy extracting a little bit of color and tannin for a new approach to Pinot Gris. After primary fermentation, I put half of this wine into neutral French oak barrels for nine months. The depth of flavor, paired with the golden hue, allow for you to experience Pinot Gris in a new way.”
