When Dan built Sweet Cheeks Winery, his intention was clear : build a place that everyone could come and feel like family. Working with Marcus Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation fits perfectly with Dan’s vision and intention. The Motiv8 Foundation has the mission to promote and support economic and educational programs for youth in our local community. Together we have raised over $100,000 to strengthen our community.

“When you purchase a 2021 Reserve Motiv8 Pinot Gris, you are continuing to support the mission of the Motiv8 Foundation and you are able to enjoy a beautiful wine - you really can’t go wrong! For the third edition labels, we decided to change the shape and give Marcus’ handwritten “8” a gold accent. Marcus personally selected the color of the labels for this edition. As always, we only make this wine from Pinot Gris harvested from our vineyard. We also ferment in stainless steel to preserve the aromatics and highlight the flavor profile.”

The fourth edition of the Motiv8 Foundation wines symbolize growth for the Mariota Family. Welcoming their daughter, Makaia Kei, the mission and vision for the foundation has grown deeper roots. In partnership with Sweet Cheeks Winery, the Motiv8 Foundation continues to impact the lives of youth in Oregon communities.

The 2021 Reserve Pinot Gris is lightly oaked and vibrant, with a touch of elegance. Minimal skin contact produces a subtle hue. With one sip you will be transported to our favorite stadium as teh sunset allows the sparks of green and yellow to become electric.
