Sourced from our friends in Southern Oregon, a stunning bouquet draws you in for a burst of blackberry and layers of robust flavors. You get a hint of pepper on the palate, classic to this varietal. The tannin structure of this wine is soft in texture but shows strength in body.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“The 2020 vintage started really beautifully, and the summer season was gearing up for a stunning harvest. Various areas of the state did experience outside influences, but we have found that we could still create great wines. For our 2020 Syrah, we aged the wine for 19 months in our hybrid barrels. These hybrid barrels are 75% American oak and 25% French oak, I love the complexity these barrels add to the wine. We used 30% second-use oak, 15% third-use oak, and 55% neutral oak barrels. The goal was to achieve a delightful mouth-feel to the wines with malolactic fermentation in the barrels. I know Boss Man, Dan, would be really proud of the determination we showed during this vintage.”

The measure of a great wine is being able to enjoy it year-round. You don't just crave this wine in the chill of winter; it begs to be on the table for the backyard barbecue or alongside the annual camping trip. Syrah was the favorite red varietal for our Founder, Dan. When it came to dinner - Dan loved to have everyone sit at the dining room table, food served family style, lively conversation with no room for silences - and a bottle (or two) of Syrah in the center.
