When Dan built Sweet Cheeks Winery, his intention was clear : build a place that everyone could come and feel like family. Working with Marcus Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation fits perfectly with Dan’s vision and intention. The Motiv8 Foundation has the mission to promote and support economic and educational programs for youth in our local community. Together we have raised over $100,000 to strengthen our community.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“This is the second edition of our Motiv8 Pinot Noir. For the label, we wanted to bring everything back to the family so you notice the two-tone effect on the front. When we meet with Marcus’ parents, his father, Toa, is often wearing these two-tone hats and we wanted to create this for the label. Marcus’ handwritten “8” will glisten as you turn the bottle back and forth. The top of each bottle was hand-dipped in gold wax by our Sweet Cheeks Winery family. For the wine itself, you can expect a stunning vintage of our Estate Pinot Noir. Hand-harvested from our dry-farmed vineyard located in the South Willamette Valley.”
A Note From Marcus Mariota
“In the years to come we hope to energize our youth and help them further their education and create unique experiences to open their eyes to a brighter future. While this may seem to be an ambitious goal - in reality if we can help change the life of just one young person then I think we will be doing well. Mahalo for your support.”
