A true expression of creativity in winemaking. Red blends are common in the wine world, but not necessarily a blend with Pinot Noir being the core. If you love red wines, we encourage you to try this fun blend. It’s also a great wine if you are looking for a gift and all you know is they love red wines.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“Each harvest I have the Fusion in the back of my mind. As I taste through the bins coming through, and as the wines are aging in barrels, it comes together like a puzzle piece. I do like using Pinot Noir as a major component in our blend. In the 2019 Red Fusion, it is 59% Pinot Noir from our vineyard. I was particularly enjoying the Syrah from Serra Vineyards, grown in the Applegate AVA of Southern Oregon. We landed on 27% Syrah and needed a touch of something else. A common varietal in blends is a Merlot, so we added a touch from Cooper Ridge Vineyards of the Umpqua Valley. What you perhaps wouldn’t expect is a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon. The final composition ended with 10% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each of the varietals were aged for 8 months, using mostly neutral oak, and blended together a month prior to bottling. Enjoy the dynamics of the varietals together - this wine is a regular guest at my dinner table.”

One of our favorite aspects to this wine is the versatility. We find it hits all of the right places for our guests - those who crave a Pinot Noir, as well as those who need a little punch of bold. It really can pair with a wide range of cuisines and dishes. If you are attending a dinner party, or looking for a gift - this is an excellent choice!
