A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
"Carpenter Hill is our partner vineyard for this wine, located in the Rogue AVA, Oregon's southernmost grape-growing region. Situated at the base of the Siskiyou Mountains on a steep, east-facing slope, this vineyard has rich rock-slate soil types. Between the climate of the Rogue valley, and our extended barrel aging of 19 months, our 2019 Carpenter Hill Petite Sirah is layered in flavor with a beautiful tannin structure. Enjoy bold notes of plum and dark chocolate covered blueberries, you may find a hint of warm baking spices throughout. Don't be timid with your food pairings, pick your favorite soul-warmer and pour yourself a glass."

If you haven't gathered from our descriptions so far - this wine will be a hug in a glass. We suggest you pair this wine with your best saucy barbeque ribs, the ones that take all day to prepare. This wine would also be incredible with burgers topped with blue cheese, herb-crusted mushrooms over polenta, or grilled lamb chops.
