An exceptional year of Pinot Noir captured in one bottle. We do not always make a Reserve Pinot Noir, only in the vintages that we feel can be made even more spectacular. This is a wine that allows our Winemaker, Leo Gabica, to showcase the best of our Southern Willamette Valley. Exceptional aromas of pomegranate reduction and sandalwood - this wine may sound boujee, but it’s just the opposite. It’s reminiscent of the pioneers that were determined to make Willamette Valley the place to grow exceptional Pinot Noir. They formed a community, farming together with their children running freely through each vine - they had grit, determination, and created a world class valley of this outstanding varietal.

“The majority of this wine is harvested from our vineyard - even in a very warm year like 2018, our vineyard still maintains the determination to give you a flavor profile of a cool climate Pinot Noir. We have been working with Davis vineyard, located just up the road from us, for a long time. Davis vineyard is Pommard Pinot Noir and in hot years can act more like a warm climate site. I really enjoy how the two vineyard sites came together in this wine. You can taste the elegance of the Pommard - the texture of this wine is melt-in-your-mouth. I am really proud of this wine, and have already squirreled away a few cases at my house. We aged the wine for 18 months in French oak barrels. With this wine, I used 38% new oak, 48% second use, and 14% third use barrels. I would strongly recommend you stock up on this beauty while you can.”
