“Our 2018 Merlot is sourced from our long-time vineyard partner Serra Vineyards in the Applegate Valley AVA of Southern Oregon. When the fruit arrived after being harvested in the early morning hours, I knew it would be something special. I cold soaked the wine for four days - I really wanted to extract a stunning color and flavor profile. The fruit was then placed in French oak barrels for 20 months. This is a really special bottle of Merlot. The flavor profile is going to be reminiscent of cocoa, fig, and a little toasted cedar. If you have any friends or family that still refuse to try a Merlot, it will be up to you to share this game-changing vintage. I would completely understand if you want to keep this secret between us.”
